Now we also want to communicate with smartphone by keeping our accessory in device mode.

So by using STUSB1600 , Can I do data / power role switch with smartphone.

I would like to charge smartphone and also make accessory as device mode to communicate with smartphone.

Can you please help me out on this ?

    Hi,

The Power-role Swap is a specific command of USB Power Delivery.

However, STUSB1600 is only a USB-C controller, it does not implement USB PD.

So if you want to support Power Role Swap commands, you’ll need to select instead a USB-C PD solution that support it:

    -       Microcontroller + STUSB1602

    -       or STM32G0 + TCPP02
