I2C communnication between STM32F446RE-nucleo and STM32F469-disco

Hi,

i'm trying to connect two stm32 boards ( STM32f446re-nucleo and STM32f469-disco ),

my question is,

is it mandatory that the two boards must work at the same clock speed ( sysclk ) ?
