Nucleo WB55 Matter device over thread example fails with Google Nest from Google Home app

Hi,

We are evaluating using the Nucleo-WB55RG with Matter for a project. This would require being able to commission and interact with the device from Google Home using a Google Nest device as the border router.

We are unable to setup the device in Google Home app, logs from the Nucleo for the failed connection are attached.

The error message seems to be `CHIP:BLE: no endpoint for unsub recvd`

We have used the Lighting-App from GitHub. We rebuilt the application using STM32CubeIDE, we have flashed the correct RCP binaries using the STM32CubeProgrammer.

So far we have tried different 2 different Routers, a Google Nest Audio and a Google Nest Mini as the border routers, and both a Google Pixel 8, a Google Pixel 1, and an iPhone 15 Pro to initiate the commissioning.

Any help would be much appreciated! Let me know if I can provide any other information.

Cheers,

Hello Ed,

firstly - I'd highly suggest downloading the recently released official X-CUBE-MATTER package from X-CUBE-MATTER - Matter software expansion for STM32Cube - STMicroelectronics . The github version is far behind in terms of improvements.

Secondly - have you created a 'Matter integration' on your Google account? This a feature required by Google and is described here Create a developer project  |  Matter  |  Google Home Developers + Create a Matter integration  |  Google Home Developers

Best regards,

Erik
