Difference in ST Motor Control Workbench between Sensor displacement and placement electrical angle

Associate II

It not clear for me, here :

In my case Hall sensor are physically spaced by 60 deg, I am not sure how to setup these 2 parameters.

Any help appreciated.

The displacement is the Hall spacing, and the electrical angle is the equivalent electrical position of the Hall sensor H1 rising edge.

The zero of the electrical angle is the peak of phase A BEMF (OUT1). In your case, I think should be zero, but you should check the motor datasheet.

in other words:

sensor displacement typical is 60° or 120° and it is same between H1 to H2 and H2 to H3.

placement electrical angle is like offset of hall sensor arrangement to motor stator.

The question has been moved from the section "Motor Control Hardware" to the "STM32 Motor Control" section (the question is about the STM32 MC SDK).
