Hello, 

I'm evaluating the use of the evaluation kit and the evaluation software for the S2-LP to generate the OOK signal, In the software I can't modify the Preamble to a custom pattern, another thing is to be able to place the ID address (I can not in the software) if i enable the option to add to the frame and the last thing is if it is possible to set up two different data rate for the preamble and the rest of the frame.

Also, what is the "Length Field" in the software meant ? it is not explained, is it the length of the Address field ?

I saw in the datasheet of the S2-LP the table 52 of the preamble field selection but can someone elaborate how is that selecting the PREAMBLE_SEL for OOK the preamble would looks like?

Hi,

- for custom preamble, it is not possible except by changing preamble field selection - but only 1 out of fixed preamble pattern

- for custom preamble we use to recommend using direct FIFO Tx mode, then you bypass packet handler and you build complete frame from preamble to CRC - by Sw

- length field means you can active 1 or 2 bytes field to automatically managed length of Tx and Rx packet. on Rx side it means packet handler will automatically read length field and determine payload length or Rx packet

- for address field you can use it, but not with GUI - you have to use Sw DK to evaluate

- only 1 data rate can be set over the air. if you want to consider 2 data rates, over sampling is possible in case you have multiply factor between 2 data rates.
