Took me a day to learn how to configure VSCode to work with CubeMX generated Makefile projects and to have a functional debugger with openOCD server - still some things to sort. On Linux Fedora 27...

Other things that works:

- IntelliSense works but there are still few false warnings;

- A functional serial terminal;

- A project manager, but nothing like the true Visual Studio for Windows.

I'm starting to appreciate the amount of work invested in generating working projects for various IDEs

I would have liked Atom more if I would have had a functional debugger there - without installing PlatformIO.
