While the forum is still unusable in its web form, I try to follow it through RSS.
I noticed that the RSS feed misses some of the posts now:
Cannot this be another indication of where the rot comes from?
Thanks for having reported this, indeed the RSS feed is generated from the Activity view.
As soon as the broader "unexpected error" issue gets resolved, please check if it's working again.
Btw, yesterday we have applied a workaround and a lot of content witheld in moderation should have now popped up, so your activity view should be quite rich in news
P.S.: please remember to always add Francesco Cariati when you report a new techical issue like this one, so that I get notified right away
The Activity view is impacted in a similar way - there's even one more post missing (Murata LoRa SOC bootloader):
I'll try my best... :-) (age kicking in when it comes to remembering things :-( )
I may have discovered at least one mechanism for discrepancy: in the last days, somebody presumably from the moderators crew marks threads as "assumed answered" and s/he's doing it in blocks, so that's quite apparent. Now these threads do appear near the top of Content list probably due to the timestamp of the mark, but are far below in the "Activity" list probably due to timestamp of the last material change (comment added).
Meantime, Francesco has investigated and relayed me a message from which I understood that various factors are weighed in ordering posts for different views, and that this is a deliberate design choice. This apparently is valid for RSS (with a yet different mix of weights) and probably to the outgoing mails too.
As there are more important things to do, I am now acknowledging this as status quo and rest my case.
