Late Wish List – 2x12 header on Nucleo/Disco boards

Wish List is closed and something came up to my mind. It's a stupid idea, but useful:

 

Would it be possible to include like 2x12 pin header on Nucleo/Disco, with alternate functions configuration, to direct chosen CPU pins to selected pins on the header?

 

Ribbon cables don't cost that much and are great, using them in projects makes them soo clean. Currently I use arduino proto shield (plugged to ST Zio connector) to solder 2x8 header there, and connect that to other 2x8 header equipped board, with ribbon cable. Great stuff. With 2x8 it would be possible to e.g. pass complete DCMI data (8-bit with external synchronization), with one cable – I think everybody can imagine how such prototype projects normally look like (bush of jumper wires).
