In case a ST Community user changes his/her e-mail addresses, he/she will need to go to my.st.com and register a new ST account and then contact the ST Community manager to get his/her Jive access moved from the previous e-mail to the new one.
The email address can not be changed.
my question was not "can the e-mail be changed" but "how to change it"... :-)
Okay, so what to do when I want/need to change the e-mail, say I changed employment or internet provider? Can the moderators do it on request? Shall I shut down my account and create a new one?
Please note that we've already discussed a "we can't do it but can push to jive" with Oliver, inthis thread, Dec 7, 2016 4:11 PM .
Ah, I see. This sounds reasonable.
my email changed from firstname.lastname@example.org to email@example.com because of domain name change. Old "mes.hu" domain is not accessible for me any more, and old email account is deleted.
I had created the new ST account with new email address and asked for moving my Jive data to new account. From Animesh Rai at ICTservicedesk@st.com I got the following answer:
As informed it’s not possible to transfer information from one account to another, however you can proceed with the new email id and if require any help please let us know so that we can take action accordingly.
Not a big deal if I loose the content of my previous account. It's only FYI.
It should be ok now, you should have the content associated with your account (only one with your new address).
Let me know if you have any issue,
new login works fine, all my old stuff is there, thank you.
Could you add a direct link to the ST Community Manager in reply to this subject?
It will be very useful to have all informations in one subject.
