e.g. with those who post STM32-related questions in the STM32 MCUs Community ?
There is not a public list of moderators but we do have certain ST employees assigned to each product space as well as myself is assigned to every space in the system (you may have seen me moving content around).
Currently we are developing the moderator role and you may see a list of mods for each space in the near future. I'll update the spaces and this thread if/when the situations changes.
OK so given what I saw last two hours, somebody (a moderator presumably) moves them manually.
Is this going to be the final solution?
Yes, if content is posted in the wrong place then a member of the moderation team will move the content.
The crop gathered up in the STM32-Community during the last few days, today has been "shared" ("symlinked") into the STM32-Forum, rather than moved using the moderators'-behind-the-scene-magic. They thus appear in both "contents" now. I don't believe it's a good solution.
Good spot Jan, I'll update the threads and let our mods know to keep a sharp eye on the Community pages.
Posts are moved to show/train members the correct space where they have to ask questions.
Okay, that means lots of daily work...not mine, but still... I mean, can't there be put some warning when one is going to post outside the "standard" places (fora), either something static or something which jumps up on to the poster? There are these "helpful" popups Roger mentioned in other thread, can't these be (ab)used for this purpose?
A related question, is there a standard way how to notify the moderators to a post/thread (there used to be in the old forum)?
For example, this thread, currently in Share Your Activities > Discussions
yes, on top right of the page of the discussion you can use the "Share" button
and forward it to a specific person.
If, and only if, there is an abuse (not just a misplaced discussion), you can flag a specific message as abuse by using the "Actions" menu in the bottom left of each message inside a discussion
Okay; and who's the person in charge for moving the threads?
There's no Chief Moving Officer
You should refer to the moderators of the Space (e.g. STM32) you are in
And is there a list of Moderators?
All I can see under People in given Forum/Community is a list of Followers (which is IMO irrelevant for this purpose) and a list of Space Administrators (including Francesco Cariati :-) )...
