CMSIS Timers: What I'm doing wrong?

Question asked by whitewool on Mar 3, 2016

I’m starting to work with STM32L4 and I need to use CMSIS FreeRTOS.

I own a NUCLEO-L476RG evaluation board, I already tested the FreeRTOS_ThreadCreation example, so I started to test CMSIS Timers.

To make things quick I decided simply modify the Thread_Creation example by adding the creation of a Timer to make a Led blink.

A very simple code, following the example indication on the documentation.

I’m really confused, this simple program compiles but don’t run on the NUCLEO, the timer don’t exist, and I’m stuck and really I don’t understand what stupid wrong error I’m making.

I’ve done a lot of tries changing the order of operations, or launching the timer from a thread previously created but nothing, or other, but nothing works.

Can anyone help me to understand the problem?

Thanks for any hint.
