FreeRTOS Debug Awareness not working

Vidar
Associate III

Hi everyone,

I am experiencing issues with Task Aware Debugging (FreeRTOS Task List) in the latest version of STM32CubeIDE. The "FreeRTOS Task List" view is either empty or not populating correctly, despite the scheduler running and tasks executing effectively on the hardware.

Environment:

  • IDE: STM32CubeIDE (Latest Version)

  • MCU: STM32H7S3L8H6x

  • FreeRTOS Version: V10.6.2 (CMSIS-RTOS V2 wrapper)

  • STM32Cube 2.0.0

Interestingly enough, the runtimestats itsef are working.

Does anyone have similar issues?

Hello @Vidar

Let me thank you for posting.

For more investigation, could you please provide your IOC.File.

Thanks

Hi,

I encountered a similar issue with STM32CubeIDE (versions 1.19.0 and 2.0.0) while debugging FreeRTOS on Nucléo board (with the V2J46M33 Stlink firmware).

My project had worked last year with 1.16.0. STM32CubeIDE

As a workaround, I used a Jlink SWD probe instead.

Kind regards

That is the IOC File!

Hello @Vidar

Thank you for interaction.

When I compile the project with the shared Ioc.File , I get compilation errors.

Thanks

Mahmoud

Hello @Vidar @rnoh

I launched the Debug Session using FreeRTOS_Mutex example on Nucleo-H7S3L8.

I get the same results on STM32CubeIDE 1.16 and STM32CubeIDE 2.0.
