I have not used the board STEVAL-ESC002V1 solution of STM, but i feel you can do

#define POTENTIOMETER

in the appropriate file based on which c files are accessing it.

Hey i had tried it, but it is declared in most of the file in my project, i had declared it but after running it show some error as variable are not undefined. So i was looking a standard way to enable that section.
@Andrew Neil @STuser2 @Fabrice LOUBEYRE
can you please help me.

Is it possible to share the cube ide project?

If you want at project level, please try below add the POTENTIOMETER in the compiler defines in the compiler settings and try.

Hey i'm using IAR Embedded Workbench IDE,for the development of STEVAL-ESC002V1 can you please guide me or share some reference on it.

Hello @shashank7,

The provided STEVAL-ESC002V1 firmware only supports the associated hardware configuration.
This board does not include a potentiometer. The POTENTIOMETER feature is mentioned in the firmware because it is a customized version of standard source code and is not intended for feature modification.
If you are using a customized board, you must develop new firmware tailored to your hardware.
