EVLSERVO1 unable to connect to stm32CubeProgrammer

Hi,

i have a new EVLSERVO1 and a STLINK-V3SET ant try to program my MSDK 6.4.0 generated firmware but i am not able to connect to the bord.

I use the latest STMCubeProgrammer 2 20.0 and the latest stsw-link009 USB Driver.

I updated the Firmware on the V3 to the latest version. And i tried both variants of the firmware.

The Software recognizes the V3 Hardware and reads the 3.3 Volt from the ELSERVO1 board.

i tried to use a Win10 and a win 11 machine.

But I am not able to connect or to flash the Board.

The 14 pin cable to the board seams to be ok.

I am able to connect and flash other STM Boards with this setup like the STM32H745I-DISCO.

Is there anything I have to set to achieve a connection?

I also tried the UART1 connection with Tera Term without success.

Do I have to send the Bootloader activation patterns 15?

From the Manual:

Programming and debugging

The EVLSERVO1 provides a J1 connector to program firmware on the STSPIN32G4. The J1 provides STDC14 pinout featuring both SWD and UART interfaces that simplify communication with the PC through a virtual com port. One STLINK-V3SET debugger/programmer can be mated to J1 using its flat cable. The mating of this flat cable with J1 must be with the plastic notch toward the upper side.

Thx Thomas

Hi, finally i got this thing working.

i was able to connect and flash the board!

My brand new STM V3SET Debugger hardware seams to be not working properly. I made a adapter boart from my old ST Link V2 over the MB1440B board to the old 20 Pin connector.

I think i got two EVLSERVO1 boards and one V3 debugger. One EVLSERVO1 was damaged during transportation. The internal 3,3 Volt regulator did not work. Some connector Pins (CAN) were bend, some broken. Mabey it damaged my V3 debugger....

The funny thing is that i can use the V3 with other STM Boards. For example the STM32H7xxXx-Disco without problems...?.

Hello @THöfl.1,

Using the STMCubeProgrammer tool, did you try to upgrade the ST-LINK firmware version?

Hello @THöfl.1,

Did you switch on the DC power supply input?
Did you review the evlservo1 um3375  user manual document?

Hello, Yes the DC Power is on and the 3,3 Volt are recognized by the V3 debugger and LED 1 and LED 2 are showing the supply voltage as described in the Manual.

Regarding the flash proses i do not find to many hints in the Manual.
