Looking for MCU options and corresponding evaluation board

Hello there,

First time posting here!

Please let me know if I am posting things inappropriately.

We are looking for a MCU and its corresponding evaluation board.

Our input signal that coming into the board/MCU is 800 MHz.

And our application processing speed is also at least 800 MHz.

We notice that STM32N6/Cortex-M55 seems like a choice as its processing speed can go up to 800 MHz.

It also has a new ST Neural-ART accelerator, seems like a good choice for our neural network process.

However, we did not find a evaluation board with STM32N6/Cortex-M55 that has input PIN can digest up to 800 MHz.

Anyone has any suggestions?

Or is there any other combinations you should consider?

Thank you guys so much!

There are no boards that can take a generic 800 MHz input signal. Perhaps you can specify what this input signal is in more detail and what you need to do with it.

SPI speed will generally be limited by board layout and capped at a few hundred MHz.

Hello TDK

Thank you for the response!

The signal is bit stream.

E.g., 010100001001.

The first step in my application is just to receive 2 * 800 MHz signals as input and feed into my neural network.

I saw some solution says to de-serialize them.

800 MHz becomes 10 * 80 MHz parallel wires, so each pin with 80 MHz can digest 800 MHz data as we merge 10 * 80 MHz back together in the MCU.

Does this make sense?

Do you have another thoughts?

Thanks!

Does this make sense?

Can you create code that can re-serialize and feed the neural network in 10 clock cycles ?
