H7A3ZIT-Q to 67W61M1 SPI issues

Hello,

I've been trying to get the 67W61M1 board working with a NUCLEO-H7A3ZI-Q and the SPI has been giving me issues. I got the module flashed to 2.0.89 with mission_t01 and I'm trying to use the WiFi Commissioning application in CubeMX. The SPI seems to be out of sync, despite any configuration I provide in CubeMX. Below is what I'm seeing in a logic analyzer. It's using a 17.5 MBits/s baud rate right now since that's the closest to synced it has gotten. Is there any special configuration beyond what is in the documentation needed for the DMA or SPI with this MCU?

Not sure I follow. What suggests it is out of sync here? What's wrong in the image?

Shouldn't CS be low during the transaction?

Oh I see. MISO is changing on the same edge as CLK. Your logic analyzer sampling rate is slow in relation to the signal which isn't helping things here. You may just be hitting the limits of what is possible in this setup. Long traces at 20 MHz aren't ideal. I'd reduce the SPI clock frequency. When you make a custom board with proper routing between the two chips this issue should disappear.
