Hello,

Would anybody recommend a type of MOSFET that would be suitable to replace the IGBT's with on STEVAL-IHM003V1 power board? I want to run my power board with an input of 15 volts which cant be do without replacing the IGBT's with MOSFET's.

Thanks in advance

The IGBT is an hybrid device which tipically integrate a bipolar transistor to drive a power ''N'' MOS.

This solution concurs to reduce the input capacitance to obtain an high speed power device.

The value of input capacitance of a power Mos is inversely proportional to RDS_ON; that means high current device == high input capacitance and consequently low speed (and maybe high temperature to dissipate).

So it depends on your application: if You need speed and power You must use IGBT.

In any case You must see the board STEVAL schematic for actual IGBT command logic and evaluate the compatibility for a direct gate MOS command.
