STWIN is supporting USB to stream out all sensor data to a PC. It also has a uSD card to store data locally when mounted on top of a motor (or other mechanical system) and then data can be read out afterwards. The STWIN has a traditional RS-485 transceiver mounted that can be used as well. The default wireless STWIN interface is Bluetooth Smart primarily to communicate to a mobile phone app called "ST BLE Sensor", again to stream the sensor data. There are some limitations in the amount of data BLE can handle to a mobile phone, for best resolution and speed, the USB and uSD method are recommended. There were designed dedicated Python and Matlab scripts to help with data logs manipulation. In case you bought also an extension board for WIFI connectivity, there is an easy access to cloud and ST dashboard. On top of this, there is already development kit and SW called STSW-STWINCELL to enable LTE/NB-IOT/2G connectivity. In general, STWIN provides many different ways for connectivity for your development. For IO-Link, we recommended the special board made for this, exact name and features were included in the webinar, the board is STEVAL-BFA001V2B.
