We are developing sensing device with using VL53L0X, we will use optical lens on top of VL53L0X for special sensing purpose then in order to optimize lens design with effecive sensing, we would like to know dimension of both sensor and emitting chip sizing and distance from Chip to upper casing,

VL53L0X is designed as ranging sensor with respect to the laser safety Class 1 SPEC, this is to ensure human eye safety. Any external lens which designed for strengthen sensor ranging capability will change the light path and will cause potential risk of eye safety.
So we don't' suggest adding lens on top of VL53L0X to keep human eye safety.

Our purpose of adding lens is narrow FOV angle, and we will measure short distance maximize 30cm, we would like to see feasibiity study by making optical lens protitype, so need this information to desing optical lens prototype

The VL53L0X sensor itself measures about 4.4 × 2.4 × 1.0 mm. ST’s datasheet and 3D CAD files include detailed mechanical drawings and the “exclusion zone” info you’ll need for cover-glass design. Just make sure nothing blocks the emitter or receiver openings to avoid crosstalk. If you’re using a breakout board, its size will be larger (around 13 × 18 mm).
