Doutb regarding Daisy chaining BMSCCTX with BMSCCTX

Amal_V

Hi team,
I have seen example of C4MINI1 daisy chaining BMSCCTX with BMSCC which is working fine.
I have 2 BMSCCTX, so i was wondering that i can connect 2 BMSCCTX for daisy chaining with C4MINI1.

But i have noticed that in the datasheet of CCTX, the daisy chain receiving pins are not mounted inside,(which is mounted for BMSCC only. So does it mean i cant use 2 BMSCCTX as node and use dual access configuration?
Can anyone explain about this please.

Thank You.

Hi Amal,
As you know this is an evaluation board. It does not aim to be a reference design, but it represents a practical example of the usage of ST integrated circuits.
Each evaluation board is built with a specific purpose in mind. (This work may be used by experienced FW engineers/Carmakers to develop new boards fast!)

The purpose of these two boards is the following:

  •  AEK-POW-BMSCCTX =  "1st node of a BMS chain"
  •  AEK-POW-BMSCC =  "2+ node of a BMS chain"

If you take a look to the BMSCCTX schematic, you surely notice the SPI/ISOSPI connections to L9963E.
BMSCCTX/CC chain does not support Dual Access. (as specified in the BMS component into AutoDevKit)

If you are interested in dual access, please consider other AEK board configurations:
(ISOSPI +N x BMS63EN+ISOSPI)

If you are going to purchase .mln pieces, then we should face in a meeting to define the terms of our collaboration.
Else, stick with our suggested solutions.
