STM32VL-DISCOVERY

The STM32VL-DISCOVERY is seen by the computer as a disc and not as a serial port.

I use win7. How to solve the problem?

Look in the device manager, if there's some USB device with driver not installed. This is the serial port. Download and install the driver for it.

This is the way the V1 version of the ST-Link was implemented.

Probably by an intern, because ST did cover itself with glory in this case.

Check if your toolchain supports this old version, or better, get a better board.
