STM32F107 Ethernet PHY RMII (MICRELL KSZ8081RNG)

In my design the STM32F107 is connected to the MICRELL KSZ8081RNG ETH PHY (which operates in RMII v1.2 mode).

Using the LwIP i can  transmit ETH packets to the network but cannot receive any data from the net.

Can the STM ETH MAC support RMII v1.2 PHYs specifically the KSZ8081RNG ?

I've only seen posts where people had grief with MICREL parts, did you see it in some working design? Discussed it with a MICREL FAE? Of all people they'd have the most useful insight.
