For debugging the m3 core - no.

Infact you get more debug support such as trace capability.

The only thing you loose out on is access to the jtag chain for boundary scan or programming other devices.

    Cheers

    Anyone else using SWD ?

I am using j-link and SWD using only 4 wires (3v3, 0v, clk & data) and it seems to work great with IAR EWARM.

I have a very small 4 way connector on my target hardware instead of an enormous 20 pin 0.1'' pitch boxed header.

Are there any disadvantages to using SWD ?

    Thanks.
