I am using the STEVAL-MKI109V3 to test IIS3DWB and the UNICO software fails to recognize the STEVAL-MKI208V1

I can connect to the ProfiMEMS board with Termite (serial port) and *ver shows v2.18.6.

*listdev does not list the IIS3DWB but the UNICO GUI shows MKI208V1 but fails when I try to connect to that.

Hi @Sudhir ,

Can you please check first the Unico SW version and the firmware version?

Being the IIS3DWB vibrometer a relative recent product, this requires relatively new versions of the tool, at least the 9.8.0 for the GUI and > 3.... for the firmware: the current version is the ProfiMEMSToolV3.14.5.bin. You can find it in the FIRMWARE\ProfiMEMSTool board folder, after downloaded the Unico-GUI's last version.

0693W000008wv22QAA.pngFor a description on how to upload the .bin file in DFU mode, please check the related user manual (you can find in the DOCS\ProfiMEMSTool board folder).

Or, briefly for simplicity, to enter DFU mode:

  • press buttons BT3 (Reset) and BT2 together;
  • first release BT3 and then release BT2.

Thanks for the correct answer. I had done that before I saw your answer and it did solve the problem. A couple of details. When you put the board in boot mode, it does not come up as described. You have to use the USB connect in the Programmer to connect. The firmware for the board is provided as a part of the UNICO release.
