Hi YRAN.1,

ST25R3911B can transmit NFC frames in various technologies. Whether these frames cause a read or write or something else in the addressed tag is up to the used protocol and the implementation of the tag. The register interface of ST25R3911B allows to control details of the NFC communication but does not control any higher layers of the used protocols.

Our RFAL software layer (used for example in X-CUBE-NFC5) allows to read and write tags of various technologies and protocols (to name just a few: NFC Forum T2T,T3T,T4T,T5T tags using ISO14443 and ISO15693 and FeliCa technologies).

Which tags are you planning to use?

I also recommend you to get X-NUCLEO-NFC5 + NUCLEO-L476. This will allow you to use and study X-CUBE-NFC5 and STSW-ST25R015 (part of STSW-ST25R-LIB).

Best Regards, Ulysses
