I am trying to upload a boot loader to a STM43F103C using a bootleg St-Linc v2. I can update the st-link firmware, but I get failure to connect when I try to access the linc using st-link software. I loaded the drivers. I’ve tried every setting

If you've tried everything I don't know what to suggest.

What specific error are you getting?

What board is the STM32F103C on?

Are you sure this isn't a fake chip?

How have you wired this up?

I obviously didn’t try everything. I tried all the various settings in the settings menu.
The st link is wired up to the STL connector on the processor board. Using pins 2,4,6,& 8 as described in the ST link instructions on various web sites.

The "Not Connected" type error tends to indicate not connected properly, or not powered in a way that the chip is functional and responsive.

Those pin number don't relate to ST-LINK connectors, I'm familiar with. Please point to specific sites you're referring too.

What board are you connecting too?

I figured it out. I was using the general pin out for the st-link clone and my particular one has a different pin out.
