H3lis331dl accelerometers type? Accelerometers or Linear Accelerometers? exclude or include Gravity?

Hi all.

I'm designing with H3lis331dl.

I know there are 2 type of accelerometers : "Accelerometers" or "Linear Accelerometers"

Linear accelerometers, which without force gravity. Imagine, in stable, output data would be (0,0,1) (g).

Accelerometers, which force gravity, imagine, instable, output data would be (0,0,0) (g).

What type of H3lis331dl?

Hi @mcuon.1 ,

the H3LIS331DL, and all the St sensors, are -from the definition you posted- "Linear accelerometer", meaning that they sense the 1g Earth gravity so that their output is (0,0,1)g assuming the acceleometer in rest and flat position, z axis pointing upwards.

Moreover, as stated in the product page on st.com, the device is a "Low power High-g 3-axis" accelerometer, meaning that the FS is high (up to 400g) compared to other ST accelerometer.
