RHFL4913A requirements on capacitance value between Vo and Adj pins?

The RHFL4913A data-sheet (Figures 4 and 5) show a 47nF capacitor between Vo and Adj pins. How critical is the value of the capacitance used here and what is the affect of changing the value?

For example, if I only have a 15nF or 100nF ceramic capacitor to choose from, which is better here? Or is the value critical enough that I should use 3 x 15nF in parallel or 2 x 100nF in series to get closer to the 47nF value shown?

Additionally, section 6.2 seems to indicate that this capacitor is only recommended when the remote sensing technique is implemented, however the capacitor is also shown in the figure for the local feedback configuration (Figure 5).
