Motor Profiler fails every time. What am I doing wrong?

RTrev.1

I bought a B-G431B-ESC1 to play with some BLDC motors salvaged from hard drives and optical drives. I'm supplying the board with 12V power, and have been able to get some erratic movement from the motors using the Monitor tool and one of the example projects.

However, I have had not one single successful run of the motor profiler. If I leave the parameters at their defaults, the completion counter slowly rises to around 18% before reporting that it's taking too long ("too time").

If I set the peak current to somewhere around 6A, the motor twitches and the completion counter rapidly reaches 30%, and the 6A value is transferred into the display of electrical characteristics. Then the counter gradually climbs to around 38% before again reporting that it's taking too long. No other value is ever filled in, and the motor never spins.

The question has been moved from the "Motor Control Hardware" section to the "STM32 Motor Control" section (the question is about the STM32 MC SDK).
