What are limitation of Different BLE network topology ?

RSakh.1

Hi,

As we are at the very beginning level of project, and exploring different BLE network topology.

1st i would give an overview of the system that we are planning to implement.

We have BLE devices / sensors (Appox 100 nos) which are fitted in small compartment (e.g 4 ft * 4ft size), along with a gateway, which contains BLE and wifi. Each BLE sensor sends chunk of data to gateway and gateway will send data to cloud so that it can be monitor or control through remote device.

Our focus is on data exchange between BLE sensor and Gateway. Data exchange could happen 2 or 3 times in a day in normal condition or immediate update in case of emergency (e.g. A particular sensor crosses threshold value).

So the questions are:-

1) which network topology would be best suitable for such application ?

2) If we go for broadcast / Scan response topology, would it work ?

3) Is there any limitations on number of devices in broadcast / Scan response network topology ?

4) As one central device can connect to multiple peripherals, how many peripherals can connect to central at a time ?

Thank You !!
