Hello Nicola,

Currently such a reference design does not exist.

Looking at long range ISO15693 reader available on the market, the stated output power is between 5W and 10W.

To increase the output power an additional amplifier would be required. You can either use a discrete amplifier or standard module suitable for 13.56MHz.

Also the Antenna size has to be scaled dependent on the output power. I would recommend to do a wire wound antenna. The size should be chosen to have at least the minimum field strength for ISO15693 in the center of the antenna. Changing the output power will also increase the field strength in the center and also increase read range.

Due to the increased reader antenna size the coupling between reader and tag will get less, which results in weaker LMA seen by the reader. It might be required to install a very sharp band stop filter at 13.56MHz in front of each RFI. It should be sharp enough to reduce the fundamental at 13.56MHz but let the side bands of 13.56MHz +/- 0.053MHz through. The remaining signal at the RFI pins should then be ~2.5 to 2.7Vpp.
