Issue with uart2 in STM32L073RZ nucleo board

I am using stm32l073rz neucleo board for my project.when i am trying to use uart 2 for my application, its not working as desired . That is when i connect A TTL module with the pins PA2 & PA3 on nucleo board i didn't get any output . But the same code perfectly works when i tried with USB . I also tried with other UARTs, its all working fine apart from UART 2.anyone help me to resolve the issue.
