LIS3DH - The datasheet specs the TSDr for an 8 bit resolution at 1 digit/degree C. What is the 10 bit resolution?

Also, we understand this represents a change in temperature, not a specific temperature reading. What is the consistency of this value? How consistent is the offset if we were to calibrate?

In other words, can we power the unit at our factory and find the offset from room temperature and then store this value as an offset from room temp. Could we expect the offset value to be within a few degrees of the actual temperature?

HI @RONOF​ , if you map an 8bit value on 10bit variable, you will get a resolution shifted of 2 positions, i.e. 4 digit/degree. This variation is relative to the calibration temperature T = 25 °C.

Since the LIS3DH is quite an "historical" part number, I can tell you that the offset is between +-15°C, but is typically inside +-5°C across the operating range. If you can easily compensate an offset, it's more difficult to withstand an eventual gain affecting the read temperature vs actual temperature. Btw, which temperature accuracy do you need?
