STM32F20xxx Ordering Reference

Hi guys,

I would like to know the difference between a STM32F207ZGT6U and a STM32F207ZGT6.

If I well understand the datasheet, the last letter of the ordering reference indicates a software option : Internal code or Blank. What does it mean ?

I did a custom board using a STM32F207ZGT6 and I have some issues to program via DFU. However, I manage to do it with a Nucleo Board wherein the MCU is a STM32F207ZGT6U. Do my issues could be related with the ordering reference ?

Thank you in advance.

I know that thread does not answer the question and actually rises more questions, but IMO, the U suffix on Nucleo boards refers to royalties paid on these chips to third parties due to potential usage of libraries like MP3 decoding etc. So as long as you won't use those you are OK; otherwise, contact ST.

I don't think DFU could be related to this suffix. You may want to elaborate what exactly are the problems.
