NFC Card Emulation for CR95HF, ST25R95 and ST95HF

Hi all,

I am current tinkering with the NFC03+NUCLEO board and the NFC DISCOVERY board for some custom NFC applications.

A couple of questions.

  1. I understand that the NFC03 (at least the board I'm having) implements a CR95HF and has examples of reader/writer applications. Can the CR95HF function as a Card/Tag in card emulation mode?
  2. If it can't what makes the ST95HF/ST25R95 able to support card emulation? Does it contain some specific circuitry that allows it to function as such?
  3. Is there an NFC03 version board that contains either the ST95HF or ST25R95 which I can plug into the NUCLEO board for application development?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

the X-NUCLEO-NFC03A1 supports the card emulation mode.

Note:

  • only NFC-A card emulation is supported,
  • only SPI interface can be used when in Card Emulation mode
