How to reach low current consumption in LSM6DSL low-power mode with event detection

Hello

Regarding the IMU LSM6DSL, I was wandering if it available to reach the low-power consumption of the accelerometer (ODR = 1.6 Hz, Idd=4.5uA) with the D6D_SRC event interrupt.

My application needs to reach the lowest power consumption and detect a change in position with the accelerometer, if the above is not available, what would you suggest?

Thank you

Hi @SCoop.1 , in theory the recommended settings for an event detection is HP, ODR_XL = 416 Hz. However, it depends on the event to be detected: in case of the 6D event detection, lower ODR and lower resolution can be considered. I think however that the 1.6Hz ODR is a little slow, but id depends on the speed of the movements through which you want to recognize the device orientation. If you only want to detect 6D position, you could use an accelerometer only like the LIS2DW12, that consumes 5uA in LP 100Hz and enables the 6D detection. Regards
