Regarding LSM6DSLTR. Do you see any problems with lack of data or readouts from LSM6DSLTR. See further decription in the "Details box" below

Dear STM Sensor specialist  ..

I have a customer who up until now have used 1 LSM6DSLTR on his powerboard.

Now they designed a new powerboard with 2 pcs LSM6DSLTR and now they are facing some read out issues.

Electrically it is a copy of the old design with the same I/O interface to our MCU.

But on the new new Powerboard, they are unfortunately experiencing some errors where the data from LSM6DSLTR periodically stops or or fall out ..

They sometimes see 10 mistakes in one minute and at other times no error in 3 hours.

We see the error randomly on both of the LSM6DSLTR, sometimes on the number 1sensor and sometimes on number 2, so it seems not to be limited to the specific location on the board but more like cross talking or timing issues ??

The question is, whether ST has some good suggestions on what might be the reason, is there special things to  be aware of ? also in relation to handling or soldering processes at the EMS.  do you know have any issue Experiences or special "behaviors" by the IC?

And of course how to proceed in the matter?

With best regards

Hi @KTeis.1571 , how are the two sensors connected to the MCU? Two different I2C/SPI lines or are they sharing e.g. the same SPI (SCLK, MISO, MOSI) lines except from the CS line? And which are the Vdd and the VddIO values? Could it be possible for you ro share the relevant part of the schematic of your customer's board? Regards

Dear Eleon ..
Thank you very much for your answer regarding LSM6DS issues ..
We are still investigating this at the customer … personly I believe it’s due to software and programming bugs.. But I promised to ask if you at ST see this as a common failure from other customers or if you think it’s due to the specific circuit or PCB layout etc.
I will ask customer for schematics and electrical diagrams etc. and come back to you when I have this ..
But for now, you don’t need to do further investigation ..
Best Regards,
Kenny Teist
Dear Eleon ..
I would like to connect you and customer together, so you can discuss technical issues directly ?? – Just make sure to keep me in the loop ..
Can I have you mail address and forward this to customer, then customer will send you schematics and details directly ??
Best Regards,
Kenny Teist

Hi Kenny, which is the interested customer? My email address is eleon.borlini@st.com, but I would suggest you to the standard support channel, that is the online support at this link selecting the Sales and representatives of customer's region. Regards
