New CubeMX (5.4.0) is extremly slow!

KLamb.4

On my i7-4Core Notebook with SSDs and 32GByte RAM,

newest Java Version:

Starting Program: 5-7 Minutes

Open existing Project (F767zit, All 144 Pins used): 10 Minutes

Deactivating TIM7: 1-2 Minute

Changing Pin Function: 1-2 Minute

Generating Code is normal in timing.

Is there any Solution to this. CubeMx 5.3.0 was perfect in time behavior.

regards

Knut

Hi Knut,

We did not get such timings when validating the  CubeMx 5.4.0 on various platforms.

I guess the problem is 100% reproducible, can you please confirm ?

Can you please also share the Java WM provider you are using, we know some JVM are slowr than other, but not in the range you mention.

Thanks

Hello, sorry for my late reaktion.

I have updated JRE to Version 1.8.0.231. Now the CubeMX starts faster but loading a project takes 7 to 10 minutes again.

Changing setting (e.g. setting I2C1 from dissabled to I2C takes 2 -3 minutes.

best regards

Knut

Hi Knut,

Are you using Oracle  JVM or other one (OpenJDK or Correto) ?

Are you using 64 bits JVM and not a 32 bits one ?

Last but not least, if the problem is specific to a CubeMX project you are editing, can you please share the associated ioc file ?

Kind regards

Jérôme
