Hi,

[1] Is this board supported for automatic code generation in MATLAB/SIMULINK ? 

[2] How high must the electrical rotary field resolution be for FOC operation, if I want to operate the PMSM without an observer? 

[3] Is it possible to switch the operating mode BLDC (Hall sensors or BEMF) and FOC (encoder or observer) without board configuration ? Or do I generally have to change the firmware and hardware of the board like X_NUCLEO-IHM08M1 ?

Hi, im back with new knowledge.

I write here, so that in the future the question is answered.

[1] Yes with MAT/TARGET, but if is possible, write everything in C code !

[2] This is still an open question I can not answer until the middle of 2020, but 1 degree electrical resolution is definitely a good value.

Depending on the number of pole pairs of the motor you have to convert this, for your mechanically Encoder.

[3] Yes, I think this is with a SyncFlag possible, but first I must try it.

If you want to drive your motor with an encoder and hall sensor, you must create a new pcb with the same circuit. And do not forget to config you cubeMX icon file for this feature 😉
