My CubeIDE doesn't find the testboard when I try to debug

Hello

I'm pretty new to the STM32CubeIDE, and try to flash my test-program (a LED-blink programm) on my NUCLEO-F446RE developementboard. If i press the debug-button, the program is compiled, but then i get the folowing Error:

"Error in final launch sequence:

Error in initializing ST-LINK device.

Reason: (4) No device found on target.

Error in initializing ST-LINK device.

Reason: (4) No device found on target."

The frame of the code, i had generated with the HAL-codegenerator.

I have no settings changed in the IDE yet

Now I have no clue what to do, so hopefully somebody here can help me.

Thanks in advance

Hi

can you check that the power LED (LD3) is ON (RED LED). If not, can you check that the JP6 (IDD) is properly ON (remove it and put it back) and that JP5(PWR) is in the proper position (U5V).

See https://community.st.com/s/question/0D50X0000B6Q0SMSQ0/stlink-broken-after-upgrade-on-nucleo-card for similar issue.
