Nucleo F411 board is resetting when connect the USB ST_Link to computer.

Hi,

I have two Nucleo F411 board. When I connect the board to the computer with the USB ST_Link, one automatically reset and the other no. I don't want that the board automatically reset.

The HW configuration and program are exactly the same for the two board. The only change is that a board is a mb1136 c-04 (who reset) and the other is a mb1136 c-03 (who not reset).

I examine the two board but don't see any difference.

An idea to solve this problem ?

Thanks,

Lionel

Good question !

In fact, I don't know. I use AC6 in the two cases with same parameters.

But I can use ST-Link to upload the binary if that can solve my problem.

Is there a special options to check ?

Thanks,

Lionel

Well, I have updated to the latest ST-Link found but always the same problem : when I connect the board I have a reset of the board.

Another idea ?

Thanks,

Lionel

Dear Lionel,
your post is some years hold, but I was facing the same issue with a board buyed just some weeks ago.
I have a Nucleo F411RE board (MB1136 C-04), and use an external 5V power supply. Thus, my jumper 5 is on E5V.
Everything works well, but when I connect the USB cable to the PC, for communicating with the COM port, the board reboots.
I could solve this issue with:
- Downloading STSW-LINK007 ST-LINK upgrade, from the ST website
- Updating the ST-Link firmware to the latest version V2.J42.M27

Hope it helps,
Scaramo
