Did you mean:

LSM6DSM vibration threshold interrupt.

Hello,

We are going to start working on LSM6DSM sensor. We have read that it a vibration monitoring functionality. We just wanted to know that can a vibration of certain threshold generate an interrupt on one of the two interrupt lines. There is not much data available in data sheet or online regarding this feature.

Thanks

Altamash

Hi Altamash, you could maybe select the threshold e.g. on the reg WAKE_UP_THS (5Bh) and generate the corresponding interrupts.

Btw, which is your target application? I warmly suggest you to check the LSM6DSOX machine learning core functionality (app note), that maybe fits better your requirements: this would allow you to create a decision tree to classify e.g. three different levels of vibration in the example below.

Hello,

Thanks for the reply.

We have not yet currently chosen any specific sensor. We plan to fix a Accelerometer+Gyroscope sensor to a two wheeler and measure:

  • Raw/Filtered Values (Acc+Gyr)
  • Gradeability of Road
  • Vibration for theft detection
  • Do Dead Reckoning maybe??

If you have any suggestion regarding above points feel free to share.

Regards.
