ST Motor Control Workbench failes to generate project with "Unable to deploy MotorControl reference pack"

I have installed MCSDK_v5.3.3 on my Win10 machine. I open example project P-NUCLEO-IHM001-BullRunning.stmcx, save it in a new folder as suggested and click the Generate icon.

The "Project generation" finds all my installed STM32CubeMX (4.27.0, 5.1.0), I select "ST SW4 STM32", "HAL", FW V1.10.0 (Recommended, not installed) and press the Generate button. Generation failes immediately saying:

"Deploying MotorControl Pack version `5.3.3` to D:\Users\Frank\Documents\STM32Cube\Repository\MCSDK_v5.3.3\MotorControl

Unable to deploy MotorControl reference pack to D:\Users\Frank\Documents\STM32Cube\Repository\MCSDK_v5.3.3\MotorControl

MotorControl reference pack not found: "../../../../Middlewares/ST/MotorControl"

Completed with errors"

Well, there is such a folder, but it is one "../" level off:

C:\Program Files (x86)\STMicroelectronics\MC_SDK_5.3.3\Utilities\PC_Software\STMCWB>dir "../../../Middlewares/ST/MotorControl"

When I change the Cube version etc., the error persists.

Am I missing someting? Can I change the folder?

Regards

Frank

Dear Frank,

Please make sure you use the admin rights. If not, workbench will not be able to populate the repository in CubeMX folder.

Please tell me if it helps,

Thanks and best regards,

Claire

Yes, this works. Thanks.

The question has been moved from the "Motor Control Hardware" section to the "STM32 Motor Control" section (the question is about the STM32 MC SDK).

Best regards
