Current control for L6482H at low speeds

Hello,

I am developing a motor driver solution for a medical device. L648x seems to be a good option considering the current control for gate driver (which in my case will help reducing EM emissions). I already tried L6480 but I was experiencing a lot of resonances on certain frequencies. Since it is desirable to operate on all speeds up to 250rpm, I changed to L6482H.

I've changed the mosfets on the eval board to NTD5C648NL and my motor has 0.33Ohms 3mH.

1- What configurations are ideal for my motor and Mosfet? Or even better, how do I calculate/tune those parameters?

2- The motor works fine on higher speeds (above 80rpm or so). When it comes to low speeds, the current rise phase gets out of control (see attached pictures of winding current). When the speed is very low the current rises way above the programmed value, and then the falling current follows the sine waveform. What could be causing the current to not set properly during the rise phase only?

Thanks for your support!

Kind regards,

Fernando
