BLE Low Power Node active and idle current consumption.

Hello,

I would like to evaluate ST's BLE Mesh solution and wanted to check if there's a datasheet available that would provide the active and idle current consumption of a low power device.

Hello

Consider that when the BLE Mesh node is in Active mode, it is generally in scan mode. So, you can use the value specified for the device (BlueNRG-1 or BlueNRG-2) . Refer to value in Electrical characteristics for "Power consumption when DC-DC converter active". The current is few mA including total consumption

Similarly for the idle current in LP mode you can refer to the values of the datasheet of the device. It is very few uA

There is a plan to publish a low-power Application note in few days

Hello Alok,

Thanks for the response. Our aim is to use a low-power node in a Bluetooth mesh application, since the device in question is battery-operated. I will wait for the Application note.

The App Note will explain the Low-Power and Friendship in detail. Are you ready to wait for few weeks ?However, if you are looking for consumption readings, it is better to refer to BlueNRG2 datasheet.
