barometer membrane reference?

Hello,

LPS22HH hardware guidelines talks about a membrane to protect from rain or dust. Do you have some references of such membranes please?

Best regards

Mich

Hi Mich, if you want a water-resistant device, you could try with a SAATI or GORE-TEX membrane. In my experience, I assembled a Gore GAW3381.43.0 vent (please check the first link below) in a gasket to protect a MEMS microphone from outer water and dust. This membrane is ok for acoustical purposes (AC variation of pressure around the atmospheric value), and should be ok also for pressure sensor ("DC" pressure variation) if the pressure variations are small compared with atmospheric pressure. Consider that this small membrane is already provided by a round-shaped tape for the application on the device.

However, in case you want to measure huge pressure variation or you intend a water-proof application, you should use LPS33HW (second link), which is designed for those purposes.
