I have basic understanding about buses, but this term is new to me.

What's bus turnaround phase - and measured from where to where?

Google hasn't been my friend on this.

This term is used on bidirectional or multidrop buses to define a period between communication phases of two different devices, when no attached device deliberately drives the bus, to prevent increased current consumption/driver heating from inadvertent collisions.
