Reset BLUENRG-MSQTR - can it get locked up?

Hello,

We are developing a product that has some circuitry permanently powered inside a sealed enclosure.

We need to determine if we need a load switch for the host processor to cycle power to the BLUENRG-MSQTR BLE module in the event that the BLE module locks up to the point that the SPI does not work.

The datasheet says that in Reset mode, the BlueNRG-MS is in ultra-low power consumption: all voltage regulators, clocks and the RF interface are not powered.

Coming out of reset, "the BlueNRG-MS is fully operational: all interfaces, including SPI and RF, are active as well as all internal power supplies together with the high speed frequency oscillator.

The MCU core is also running. The core is the internal Cortex CPU core and it says the core is “off? in reset mode. Although it is not stated, this implies the CPU is in a reset state, not halted.

Can ST please confirm that toggling the nRST pin actually performs equivalent of disconnecting and reconnecting power to the module?

i.e.: full reset of everything, so there is no risk of ever having a bricked device that we cannot reset if we don’t cycle the power to the device?

Thank you
