VNQ5E160AK-E (new design) vs. VNQ5160 (old design): can current sense pins stay unconnected (and CS_DIS set to GND via 10k resistor), so the old PCB design can be kept?

We are using VNQ5160 in a project, but those chips are now not avalible and we would replace them with VNQ5E160AK-E. Footprint and switching power is the same, the only main difference is in status pins, where older chip has status outputs and new has current sense.

As to documentation, current sense pins must not be left floating. Is this true also when CS_DIS is engaged?

Please find a schematics for the old project; can the same connection also be used with VNQ5E160?

Test is the best (when ST support fails and does not provide answer ...).

Works when Isense pins are left floating and Isense disable pin is pulled low.
