Powerstep01 goto at specific speed

Hi, I'm using the powestep IC to control a stepper motor. All is going well but I can't figure out how to move the motor from one point to another at specific speed. e.g. if I send the goto command, like goto(1000) the motor do Accel--->max_speed-->Deccel, so I can set max_speed and then goto, the problem is that the resolution of max_speed if too bad compared with the run command. But run command runs forever, and I wanna set a target point to stop the motor. Summury: If I use goto, I haven't speed resolution, if I use run, I do have speed resolution, but no stop point. Any idea how to solve that? any suggestion is welcome. Thanks in advance. Pablo Slavkin.
